Editorial Board, Transactions in GIS

Dr. Diansheng Guo will serve on the Editorial Board of Transactions in GIS, from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2014. Transactions in GIS is an international journal that publishes original research articles in geographic information science.

NSF CAREER Award

I received the prestigious National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award for 2008. The researchtopic is "Extracting and Understanding Complex Patterns in Spatial Interactions—A Computational-Visual Framework",jointly funded by two NSF programs: Geography and Regional Science and Method, Measure, and Statistics.

New Software Release

A software package for optimal linear ordering is available and free for download, which includes a Java jar file, an example dataset, and a brief user manual.
